Our Aims and Commitments

CAP Orientation

Given the nature of CAP Orientation's activities and their respect for environment and sustainable development, the company undertakes to protect the environment and makes the following commitments :

1. Map making is about surveying the area and drafting the map, with no modifications made to the terrain.

2. Posts, markers and panels are :

Posts and markers are located at reasonable distances from one another in order not to spoil the natural environment. Routes are designed to respect nature zones and reserves.

3. During specific activities, participants answer questions using information provided by the existing heritage sites themselves: for example, a date carved in stone, specific details of a house, etc. They must use either maps made from synthetic materials such as PREAC (polyester film fixed by intense heat) which can be used on numerous occasions, or touch screen tablets. Drinks are served in recyclable containers: for example cardboard goblets.

4. In 2011, CAP Orientation signed the Charter of the County Tourism Council (Charte du Comité Départemental du Tourisme) «For sustainable tourism in the Marne», and in 2013 obtained the Vignobles & Découvertes label (vineyards and discovery).

5. When travelling, CAP Orientation staff use public transport or car sharing as much as possible.
